This Privacy Policy explains how Tee Off India ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the AI Golf Performance Lab platform (the "Service"), collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data. We are committed to complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Who we are

Tee Off India is an India-based golf performance platform founded by Sumeru Bahuguna and headquartered in the Himalayas. For any privacy-related queries, contact our Grievance Officer at sumeru@photoindia.com.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, password (hashed), profile photo.
Player profile: age, gender, height, weight, handicap, fitness level, injuries, goals.
Swing media: videos and images you upload for AI analysis.
Usage data: device type, IP address, app interactions, error logs.
Communications: messages with our AI Coach and support team.

3. How we use your data

To deliver AI-generated swing analysis, drills, fitness, mobility and diet plans personalised to you.
To create and secure your account and authenticate sign-ins.
To improve the Service, including model performance, with aggregated and anonymised insights.
To communicate updates, early-access launches, and important security notices.
To comply with legal obligations under Indian law.

4. AI processing and your consent

Our AI features process your swing videos, body profile and goals to produce mechanical analysis and recommendations. By uploading content you provide informed consent under Section 6 of the DPDP Act for this processing. AI outputs are assistive guidance, not medical or clinical advice. We do not use your personal videos to train third-party foundation models without your explicit, separate opt-in.

5. Storage, security and location

Personal data is stored on secure, access-controlled infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Swing videos and body images are kept in private storage buckets with row-level access controls so that only you (and authorised admins for support) can access them. We follow reasonable security practices as required by Indian law.

6. Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

Access and review the personal data we hold about you.
Correct, complete or update your personal data.
Erase your personal data and close your account.
Withdraw consent at any time (this will not affect lawful processing already done).
Nominate another individual to exercise these rights in case of incapacity or death.
Lodge a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.

7. Children

For users under 18, we process data only with verifiable parental or guardian consent and we do not run behavioural tracking or targeted advertising on minors.

8. Sharing with third parties

We share limited data only with processors essential to running the Service (cloud hosting, AI inference, email delivery, analytics). All processors are contractually bound to confidentiality and security obligations consistent with the DPDP Act. We do not sell your personal data.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by law. You can request deletion at any time from your account or by writing to us.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified inside the app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect.
